Another one for HelixApothecari. 
Roven Khi'nod is a Salamanders Apothecary who is currently standing his second Vigil with the Deathwatch. Before that, he had already won fame within his Chapter for aiding in the recovery of a prized relic – and for keeping an unswervingly (and perplexingly) cheerful disposition, even after four centuries of Apothecarion service. As most Salamanders, Khi'nod cares as much about common humans as he does about his battle-brothers. Between deployments, he works as a kind of „village doctor“ on Nocturne; as a result, he's not only quite knowledgeable about human idiosyncrasies, but also tends to jokingly tell his teammates that he has „seen and heard everything by now“. Thus his superiors tend to employ him in missions where the team has to deal with human allies – or have him act as a buffer in newly assembled teams suffering from mutual distrust. At the moment, he and half a dozen fellow Astartes are part of an Inquisitor's entourage, trying to establish a new Watchstation in reclaimed Imperial territory. So far, Khi'nod has successfully avoided any kind of Armageddon discussions with his Black Templar teammate... but only time will tell how the team will fare in the long run, and whether the frontiers of the known galaxy harbour things that surprise even a veteran like him.
